Trials tickets going fast!

Holiday gift options available for 2025 Canadian Curling Trials, 2025 Mixed Doubles Trials and 2025 Canadian Curling Pre-Trials

It’s less than a year away, and the anticipation level for the most important event in Canadian curling is already getting fans across the country excited.

The 2025 Canadian Curling Trials are scheduled for Nov. 22-30 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, and will determine Canada’s four-player women’s and men’s teams for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Italy.

The first ticket offering for the Trials went on sale early last month, and fans responded instantly to lock down their seats for the return of the Trials to Halifax for the first time since 2005. Sales have exceeded projections, so if you are looking for a memorable holiday gift option, or wanting to get your seats, it’s time to act now!

Here are the current ticket offers:

  • Full Event Package ($500-$570) — Each package includes a single ticket to all draws. Home End premium seats will be exclusively available as full-event ticket packages only until Dec. 31, 2024.
  • Playoff Package ($240-$276) — A single ticket to all semifinal and best-of-three final series games from Thursday, Nov. 27, to Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.
  • Opening Weekend Package ($90-$140) — A single ticket to the first five draws, set for Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025,
  • Weekday Package ($60-$78) — A single ticket to all three draws on either Monday, Nov, 24; Tuesday, Nov. 25; or Wednesday, Nov. 26.

All ticket packages are subject to standard facility and ticket service fees.

Eight men’s and eight women’s teams will be competing in Halifax, with a round-robin format leading to the playoffs that will feature, for the first time, a best-of-three final. All full-event and playoff ticket packages include admission to the third and deciding games, if necessary.

In addition to getting your preferred seats, another reason to buy as soon as possible is the availability of optional payment plans for Full Event and Playoff Packages until Dec. 31, with the following terms:

  • 50 per cent due at time of purchase
  • 50 per cent due April 15, 2025
  • Tickets will be available online at Ticketmaster or curling.ca/tickets. The customer support phone line is 902-451-1221 or toll-free 1-877-451-1221. For in-person sales, the Scotiabank Centre Box Office windows are open on event days approximately 90 minutes prior to events.

The qualifying process for the four-player Trials was announced last year, and has determined two women ’s (Team Rachel Homan and Team Chelsea Carey) and two men’s teams (Team Brad Gushue, Team Brad Jacobs) that will be competing in Halifax.

Those looking to volunteer will have an opportunity to register starting in January 2025. You can sign up at curling.ca/volunteer to receive updates.

The 2025 Canadian Curling Trials, of course, are just one of three Nova Scotia stops on the Road to 2026

The first stop is in just over a month in Liverpool, N.S., which will host the 2025 Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials Dec. 30-Jan. 4 at Queens Place Emera Centre.

That’s the event that will decide the team that will represent Canada in its chase for Olympic gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

The winning team in Liverpool will represent Canada at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Championship April 26-May 3 in Fredericton, N.B., where eight of the 10 countries that will comprise the field for the Olympics will be decided, based on the Olympic qualifying system.

Should Canada qualify, the winner of the Trials in Liverpool will be formally nominated to the Canadian Olympic Committee to be part of the Canadian Olympic team in Italy.

Six of the 16 teams that will be competing in Liverpool are now known:

The qualifying process for the Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials was announced last year, and it has produced the first seven entries:

  • Kadriana Lott/Colton Lott (Winnipeg Beach, Man.)
  • Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton/Humboldt, Sask.)
  • Jocelyn Peterman/Brett Gallant (Chestermere, Alta.)
  • Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Martensville, Sask.)
  • Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Horseshoe Valley, Ont.)
  • Brittany Tran/Rylan Kleiter (Calgary/Saskatoon)
  • Rachel Homan/Brendan Bottcher (Beaumont, Alta./Edmonton)

Another team will be decided at the final qualifying event, set for Dec. 5-8 in Banff/Canmore, Alta., while the final eight entries will be the highest-ranked non-qualified teams on the Canadian Mixed Doubles Rankings as of Dec. 9.

A variety of ticket options for the Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials are on sale. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. at Queens Place Emera Centre. Admission will be free.

The volunteer quota has been filled for the Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials.

The next stop on the Road to 2026 will be the 2025 Canadian Curling Pre-Trials, set for Oct. 21-26 at the Andrew H. McCain Arena in Wolfville, N.S., where the final women’s and men’s teams will be decided for the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials in Halifax.

Early-bird ticket packages are now on sale. Full-event ticket package holders have access to every draw, plus two potential bonus draws (if deciding games are required in the best-of-three women’s and men’s finals), and get their preferred, reserved seat, not to mention saving more than 35 per cent on the cost of buying single-draw tickets.

Playoff packages will go on sale Dec. 6 at noon AT at a cost of $135 (including all taxes and fees; a 20 per cent saving on single-draw tickets), and will include all six playoff draws and the potential playoff deciding games.

Volunteer applications will open Friday, Jan. 31. Keep checking the event website (www.curling.ca/2025pretrials) for further updates.
